Larry G. Duncan

Larry G. Duncan, 71 of Gridley passed away at 6:45 PM on Monday July 9, 2018 at McLean County Nursing Home in Normal.

There will be a celebration of his life Sunday July 15, 2018 2 PM at the American Legion Post #217 in Gridley where military rites will be performed.

Beck Memorial Home in Bloomington is handling arrangements.

Larry was born May 24, 1947 in Bloomington to Harold and Evelyn Arbuckle Duncan. He married Ann Hany on July 30, 1976 in Gridley. She survives. He is also survived by one daughter Sarah and one brother Lynn both of Bloomington. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Sharon.

Larry was a Vietnam Veteran and a Purple Heart recipient and was proud to serve his country in the United States Army. He was a truck driver for several central Illinois companies for many years. He retired from Nu Way Trucking in 2009 after ten years of service. Larry was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan. He also lived for Fantasy Football, golf and enjoyed watching NASCAR.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post # 217 or to St Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis.
